ABOUT

From poetry to philosophy, Heather Pearson is a writer, author, and artist weaving words of hope for a better world. Adopting a spiritual and eco-feminist lens, Heather encourages her readers to feel soothed and inspired to find healing by restoring a soulful connection to Mother Earth. Heather’s work is devoted to the art of remembrance: the powerful reclamation of our roots in nature, and the revival of our natural wisdom.

Heather’s first written publication was at twelve years old, a quaint poem about ‘running a race; wind in her hair, sun in her face’.

Since then, she’s fostered her adventurous spirit with fingers in many pies—from avant-garde music performance, to personal development coaching, to sex and relationship education.

Her greatest love has always been the written word, however. After a Masters Degree in Philosophy, Heather was determined to combine her talent for writing with a growing desire to explore ancient spiritual philosophies.

Following this, Heather was selected to participate in HarperCollins UK’s ‘Author Academy’, a programme to support emerging writers of colour into publication.

Off the back of several publications, Heather has developed her style and core philosophy: to help people find emotional and spiritual healing by restoring a connection to the earth.

This birthed ‘The Feminine Path’—her first self-help book exemplifying her philosophy, guiding readers to embrace & live the wisdom of nature in their lives.

Woman of Nature

Finding her voice in the global pandemic, in the aftermath of an abusive relationship, Heather began writing poetry therapeutically as a way to navigate her emotional wounds—often taking inspiration and solace by the presence of nature.

Following the cycles of the seasons, ‘Woman of Nature’ is a collection of poems that explores the grace, grit, and growth that comes with being a woman.

‘Woman of Nature’ was self-published in Autumn 2022 and is sold online and in various stores in Brighton, UK.

Community Engagement and Events with LUSH

A brand known for its dedication to sustainability and nature, Heather was delighted to bring her literary skills into LUSH by co-creating the poetry evening ‘LUSH: Sensation’ in Brighton, UK.

The project raised over £2,000 for three local literary initiatives, and championed thirty local poets and artists. Following the success of the events, Heather and her co-organiser Ali were invited to be ‘Live Poets’ in residence at a LUSH PR event in London.

Writing Residency in partnership with The National Trust

Heather’s work in the community was recognised by ‘Writing our Legacy’ and she was awarded their Changing Chalk bursary to continue her written work in nature, in partnership with the National Trust.

Her poetry project, ‘Home-Made: a pilgrimage through the South Downs Way’ will be part of a larger body of work that will explore her mixed-race heritage, and her pursuit to find belonging within herself, within nature.

The Feminine Path

‘The Feminine Path’ is Heather’s original philosophy and the name of her first non-fiction book.

Following an eight-step methodology, The Feminine Path is a journey back into the arms of Mother Earth: guiding us to remember, honour, and embrace the wisdom of nature so we can restore balance to our souls and the world.

Heather is currently seeking agent representation and publication for The Feminine Path. Click below for more information.
